So I basically got slammed with a massive wave of homework and essays and tests that are meant to induce aniexty and exhaustion this weekend, so I, naturally, spent the day studying. I was having a hard time concentrating at home, though I am not sure why, so I asked my dad if he would take me to the bookstore to study later on. He did. Thanks, Dad.
Anyways, I did a face mask (Freeman’s Cucumber Peel-Off Mask, if you were curious, which you probably weren’t) and took a relaxing shower before tackling my day head-on. Now, there is this weird complex in me where I cannot do anything productive until I am properly dressed and ready for the day. Don’t ask me why because I have no bloody clue. As we are transitioning into fall, I wanted to incorperate a little bit of the season into my look today and here is what I came up with!
I tried a few different lighting arrangements, so sorry for the inconsistancy. I know I’ll get questions, but no, I haven’t dyed my hair. It starts to turn more red in the fall and that with the weird lighting in this picture makes it look drastically differnt even though it really isn’t.
On my face:
Mirabella Prime – I am trying out some primers right now and this was just the first one I grabbed this morning.
Physician’s Formula Conceal RX – My skin is actually being really nice to me today, so I just applied this on my dark circles.
L’Oreal True Match Naturale Powder Foundation – This is my favorite powder foundation right now. I basically applied this to my face in a buffing motion using a flat-topped kabuki brush from EcoTools. This gives a really natural looking finish and is light to medium coverage.
Milani Multitasker Face Powder – I just applied this very lightly to set the powder foundation in place.
E.L.F. Eyebrow Kit in Medium – My holy grail eyebrow product! I used the tinted gel to lightly define my brows.
On my eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion – I wanted my shadows to last all day through my back-breaking load of homework so I turned to my trusty UDPP to do the job.
MAC All That Glitters Eye Shadow – I wanted to keep the eyes simple because I was planning to do a bolder lip, so I swept this warm peachy, rosy gold color across my lids using a flat shader brush.
MAC Sable Eye Shadow – For subtle defintion in the crease, I used this purple-toned brown on a Sigma E25 (MAC 217) brush and blended it out.
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer – For a more awake look, I used a bit of my holy grail highlighter on a pencil brush in my inner corners.
Rimmel London Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer in Noir – I just using this black, twist-up, pencil eye liner to define my lashes by lining my tightline (upper water line).
Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara – I just wanted a no-fuss mascara that I could sweep on quickly and look alive once more. This adds length and definition to every lash, which I love, while still looking moderately natural.
On my cheeks:
E.L.F Powder Blush in Pink Passion – This a bright, matte, pink blush that I applied very lightly to the apples and blended out. I was honestly too lazy to use bronzer or highlighter. It was one of those “Eh, good enough,” moments.
On my lips:
Maybelline Bit of Berry Lipstick – I wanted to do a bolder lip than usual today, so I busted out my favorite berry lipstick. The color is much more berry and less pink in real life, but again, my lighting was rather odd today. But trust me when I say it’s a berry color. I didn’t use lip liner or anything out of sheer motivation to do so and just general laziness. This lipstick has a subtle shine to it and is hydrating-ish.
Overall, I felt polished and put-together for my study day, which was the goal, afterall. Now, I have about a million more hours of homework to do, so I am going to leave you now. Farewell, my beauties!
