This week has been a nice breather from all the crazy activity of the last few months. Here are my favorite things!
The Fault In Our Stars by John Green: This book is one of the most moving and powerful books I’ve read. I laughed and cried (rather pathetically over my Kindle, if you must know). I read it in a marathon session and I have already forced my two best friends to read it in the span of a week as well. You. Must. Read. This. Book. John Green, you, Sir, are a literary genius.
Divergent by Veronica Roth: The book series and the movie were both amazing! You are doing yourself a favor by thumbing through the books and seeing the film because they are intoxicating. The story delves deep and makes you think, which I appreciate. You can check out my Tris Prior makeup, hair, and outfit tutorial here.
Working Out: I’ve gotten back in my routine and I am happy with the feeling of accomplishment it brings (plus, kickboxing, if you haven’t tried it, is my favorite form of therapy).
Green Tea: I’ve had no coffee in the last two weeks, just tea. I really like the jasmine green tea from AJ’s, but I also enjoy the Tazo Zen green tea. Green tea is magic for your body, so drink it up!
Staying Up: By this, I do mean until four or five in the morning. Then I wake up at around ten and repeat the process. I am not someone who needs much sleep to function (terrible for me, I know; I blame my insomnia), but there is something intriguing about being awake while the rest of the world (and by that I do just mean my home state) sleeps. Also, I prefer the cool darkness of night and I swear I’m more productive at one in the morning than I am at one in the afternoon.
