As many of you know, I have a crazy obsession with tea! When I first began drinking the good stuff, started myself off with a box of Raspberry Zinger Tea from Celestial. I didn’t like it. It was too strong and kept me awake all through the night. I wasn’t about to give up on my quest for the perfect tea. I bought several different types of tea from various different companies in hopes of finding something more palatable.
I fell in love with six in particular: Super Antioxidant Green Tea from Yogi, Country Peach Passion Tea from Celestial, Sleepytime Tea from Celestial, Zen Tea from Tazo, Chai Tea from Tazo, and Calm Tea from Tazo. I got myself into a routine where I had a cup of hot tea first thing in the morning when I woke up, tea when I got home from school, and hot tea before bed.
Tea can have a ton of health benefits and many don’t have the harming affects of caffeine! I love tea! Here is my review of each of these teas!
Yogi Super Antioxidant Green Tea: This is a super healthy tea with many benefits for anyone who drinks it. Green tea is definitely an acquired taste, but if your like me, you’ll be hooked for life. I drink the Super Antioxidant version because the taste is not as potent as other teas. This tea can be drank warm or cold but prefer this brand in particular as hot tea. I drink this in the morning because it wakes me up without the harsh crash of caffeine or sugar later.
Celestial Country Peach Passion Tea: I love this tea! I drink this in the morning or after school in the afternoon! The taste is absolutely delectable and sweet! I makes me feel very safe and cozy. I drink this almost everyday without fail. I feel very happy and in a good mood after every cup. The warm aroma of peaches and a hint of vanilla make this tea taste like desert. In fact, most days, this tea is my dessert! I like to drink this tea hot, but I haven’t tried it cold yet! I cannot rave about this tea enough!
Celestial Sleepytime Tea: This tea is relaxing and calming. I drink this hot tea every single night before I drift off to sleep. I heat it and meander to my room with it clutched between my fingers! The distinct purpose of this tea is to make the drinker peaceful and sleepy so that sleep comes more easily. I have insomnia, so this tea is a lifesaver! I drink this on days when I am stressed out or am exceedingly nervous. This has to be one of my favorite teas ever!
Tazo Calm Tea: This herbal tea is very similar to the Celestial Sleepytime Tea in affects, but not in flavor. Calm has a lot of herbal and floral notes to it, the taste is more earthy, but I still love it. It sends a warm, calm feeling throughout your body. I only drink this tea hot. I really soak in the flavor and let it steep for a while. Tazo teas are very natural and have organic ingredients which improves any and all benefits. I drink this tea any time of the day, just whenever I want an extra boost of peace.
Tazo Chai Tea: I am not a huge fan of the flavors in chai teas, but I happen to really like this one because it is so unique and spicy. This is a morning tea only because it will keep me awake for a long span of time. This tea is very autumn in regards to it’s flavors, but I drink it all year round. They frequently make Chai TEa Lattes but I am lactose intolerant and I really do like the simple flavor of just tea. This is a must have for those days where you just cannot seem to wake up!
Tazo Zen Tea: This is amazing! IT is a green tea, so it is full of antioxidants, but I love this! I drink the Zen tea iced because it is just so good when it is chilled. I think the flavor of Zen versus the flavor of the Yogi Super Antioxidant Green Tea is very different. The Zen tea is more subtle in taste but it still true to it’s Green-Tea-Ness. I really adore everything about this tea! It is prefect for warm spring and summer days!
