So it’s no shock to any of you that my skin is… persnickety? Temperamental? Grudge-holding? I’ve struggled with breakouts for years on end, searching the shelves and the web for any sort of cure. I’m not exaggerating when I say I must have tried at least 50 different products in my endeavors to find a fix.
My dedication has finally paid off. Two of my best friends separately recommended to little products that worked wonders for my face. The first was one I discussed in a recent post, a bentonite mud mask that you can read about here. The second seemed thoroughly strange: a sponge. I’ll allow you a moment to soak that in (GET IT?!).
No skin solution is perfect, but this is as close as I’ve come. A charcoal konjac sponge. I ordered mine on Amazon here. If you were wondering, I only ordered and tried out the black one (activated charcoal), but I would be curious so see how the others work out too. Anyway, this affordable little miracle is the most effective product I’ve used by far.
All you do is run it underwater until the sponge softens, then use it to clean your face. I don’t even use a cleanser with it, only removing my makeup with Cetaphil’s Gentle Skin Cleanser before I proceed to rub this on my face. I massage it in little circles around my face for about thirty seconds and then I don’t even pat dry or rinse. I just wait for the little bit of moisture on my face to dry.
All in all, I’ve seen drastic improvement in my skin tone over the last few weeks using this product and I would highly recommend you check it out. I’ve only used the one brand, but I am sure that if you can’t get your hands on the one I linked above, another type would work similarly.
I hope this helps some of you who struggle with troublesome skin! Let me know what you’d like to read from me next!
