What is the most important beauty product is EVERYONE’S arsenal? Shampoo! I know most people dismiss shampoo and just buy any random one that they think may smell good and perhaps is a pretty color. I know I used to. I mean, sometimes I get lazy and still do that, but it happens.
Three months ago, I so tragically ran out of shampoo! What a crime against humanity! So, what else could I do but mosey on over to the drugstore and buy me a new bottle? So, as usual, my complaining father dropped me off in front of Target or as I choose to pronounce it Targée because it sounds fancier. Like boutique. Or shoppe. What is the deals with normal shops calling themselves “shoppes?” I mean, they are no more fancy than the other discount shoe store a block and a half up the street, so why must they make themselves appear superior? Please excuse my fanciful wording rant.
Anyways, as I strode through the isles of Target, I browsed my over to the shampoo isle, where I fully intended to just grab a cheap shampoo, without reading anything other than the pictures on the front. And that is exactly what I did. I grabbed the green bottle that said Suave Professionals Almond and Shea Butter Shampoo. It was $3.00 and came with the matching conditioner (really big ones!).
I came home and promptly hopped into the shower and washed my hair until it was squeaky clean. I then decided to try the conditioner along with it. If you are curious, I apply my conditioner on rather thickly on the ponytail region of my hair and then wrap if up in a bun on top of my head. I do that so that the conditioner doesn’t clog the pores on my back. I leave it for 3 minutes or so before washing it out.
When I got out of the shower, my hair was sooo clean and sooo hydrated. I was amazed! How could a drugstore shampoo and conditioner be better than the Aveda and Redken stuff I have tried? I doubted my conclusion. I decided to read the claim. The shampoo and condtioner were supposed to moisturize as good a Aveda Dry Remedy. IT DID! I was in awe! I continued to test this duo for 2 months. And every single time, my hair has been so soft, healthy, nourished, clean, and shiny! Even my hair stylist noticed a huge difference!
