It’s a long weekend! Thank. Merlin. I missed school on and off for about two weeks for health reasons and since then it has just been a game of catch-up. How did I miss so much?! Anyway, I have spent the last 3 days doing homework (like a grand total of about 18 hours of homework) and trying to get caught up. So, needless to day, I wanted to have some Gwynie Time today. Very scared. Very. Sacred.
Things have been so hectic lately. I’ve been missing robotics, which bites, and I’ve fallen behind on my blogging and videos. So, I’m sorry to all of my lovely, loyal viewers/readers. I have been working on my goal of having a healthier lifestyle, in all areas, recently. Perhaps you could call it cleansing? I’ve been cleaning up my life. Health wise, I have been drinking a lot more water, trying to make better eating choices, reducing stress levels, trying (though usually failing) to sleep more. I also bought a pedometer. I read somewhere that the ideal healthy human gets 10,000 steps a day and that 3,000 is considered sedentary. Between all of my homework and classes and other responsibilites, I don’t get nearly enough steps. Wearing the pedometer is just a good way to stay concious of it and I have been getting more and more steps each day, just by doing little things like walking to lunch or parking further out from the grocery store. “Little by little, one travels far.” (That’s a J.K. Rowling quote, if you didn’t know.)
In my personal life, I have been working to improve my friendships and dissolve toxic relationships and make things at home better. I have also been getting into more set routines. My skin care routine, my shower routine, my morning routine. I wake up at the same time and go to bed when I have time. It’s just little ways I am making life a bit more sane.
Off that long rant, I have been trialing a new mascara! I went into Target to buy a new lash curler (I somehow managed to break three) and remembered seeing a good review of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Lyrca Flex Mascara. My other mascaras were beginning to dry up, so I tossed it into the cart. I actually love it so far! After another week or two of use, I’ll post a review!
I have about 150 pages of The Namesake to read for English, so I had best be off! I hope you’re all doing wonderfully!
