As I have mentioned briefly in other posts, I have been on fall break. Now, for many people, tink means hanging out with friends, traveling, spending time with family, and just doing all the fun stuff you don’t normally have time for. Not for me. My friends call any breaks that we have in school my “Recluse Mode.” Here is why.
I basically, upon coming home, take a nap from sheer exhaustion from the last day of school. I then pretty much shut down an stop talking to everyone. No texts, phone calls, Skyping, hanging out. This may sound really strange, but I almost have to recharge myself. I actually really enjoy spending time alone, and while I am all into my friends when school’s in session, on breaks I tend to step back and tackle personal projects likes writing, reading, and guitar. I suppose I am just weird like that.
I have also been catching up on a LOT of missed zzz’s. So catching up has felt really good. In addition I have also been doing a hydration routine, if you will. You see, I have a really bad habit of not drinking nearly as much water as I should, so I decided to try to come up with an easy regime that I could stick to so that I could get on track. So I bought a refillable water bottle (24 oz.) and I drink one from when I wake up until lunch, on from lunch till dinner, and one between dinner and when I go to sleep and if I can get more, then bully for me! This could be interesting for you or you could be blinky rapidly at your screen trying not to doze off.
What have you all been up to for your school break?
